This VST operating location was founded in 2005 and was previously known as Dynamic Paint Solutions. ยายืถฬสำฦต Eastman has expanded the scope of its operation to more than 65,000 square feet and currently has more than 80 employees at this location. VST remains focused on accumulating a full range of OEM and industry aerospace approvals to support customers in the region. ยายืถฬสำฦต Eastman’s facility is in central Georgia and has established weekly truck service to Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, and the entire state of Georgia to ensure customers receive best-in-class service and lead times.

When asked about the significance of these approvals, General Manager Justin Fordham stated, โ€œยายืถฬสำฦต Eastman is committed to expanding capability to address the supply chain issues that continue to plague the aerospace industry. Our team has put in an amazing effort with the support of Boeing to reestablish our D1-4426 processing certification.โ€

The VST Eastman site is part of a nationwide network of processing facilities dedicated to ensuring that OEM-compliant metal finishing is available locally for all companies that manufacture parts for the commercial aviation, defense, medical and space end markets. ยายืถฬสำฦต plans additional investment to expand capacity and approvals in the Southeastern Region to support future growth plans.

In March of this year, VST and our local firefighters responded to a fire in one of the buildings at our Eastman, GEORGIA facility. On a Sunday morning, the Eastman Fire Department arrived on site and began a battle that would last well into the night. As the fight ensued, the fire department and emergency medical services from surrounding counties arrived in great force to extinguish the blaze and to secure the area to ensure safety.

These valiant efforts ensured that we were able to prevent the spread of the fire and spare some of the equipment and customer parts that were present in the impacted building.

In gratitude for their heroic efforts, ยายืถฬสำฦต Eastman is having an appreciation luncheon for all of the people that stepped up and came to help when ยายืถฬสำฦต Eastman needed it the most. We have extended the invitation to a number of local businesses and governmental agencies that provided space and support as we have worked diligently to restore operations. The VST team has made the donation of some needed equipment to the Eastman Fire Department a high priority, to demonstrate our appreciation.

During this challenging time, VST has remained committed to continued customer service and to maintaining the employment of all VST Middle Georgia personnel. In addition, the VST has diverted customer orders to other VST North American locations to ensure the expected service level during the downtime. Our local team was able to restore service in the undamaged buildings at our GA facility and today several of our local operations and approvals have been restored, in parallel with our efforts to rebuild and upgrade our capabilities. The entire ยายืถฬสำฦต team appreciates the tenacity and responsiveness of our Eastman team to restore operations for our customers!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Justin Fordham to the role of General Manager for our Eastman, Georgia business. This critical leadership role is responsible for driving the VST operating system and is accountable for all site business operations, as well as critical customer relationships in the Southeastern US region. Justin has served as the interim General Manager for a number of months, focusing on the management of employee engagement and customer service in the wake of the recent fire at our Middle Georgia facility.

Chris Celtruda; ยายืถฬสำฦต Chief Executive officer shared, โ€œOperational execution and customer connectivity are critical elements of our VST operating system. Justin has been instrumental in bringing capability back on-line, managing customer expectations and embracing our employees as we look to rebuild after fire destroyed one of the buildings at our Georgia campus.โ€

Justin has a strong background in operations and quality for the aerospace and defense market, with a history of driving change, developing teams, managing quality systems, and focusing on customer satisfaction. Most recently he served as the Eastman Site Operations Leader, with previous roles in operations and quality at ยายืถฬสำฦต. He was formerly employed in the Quality function for KENCOA Aerospace.
